I really enjoy his mastery of chiaroscuro.
The loose strokes of his composition merge structurally into a coherent musical gradient that gives form to my facial expression.

When I was a kid between the ages of three to ten, my friends and I were fond of watching Lọ́baníkà, an egúngún masquerade that performed regularly once a year in my neighborhood at Iremo in Ile Ife. Lobanika’s annual act was the highlight of the entire community, and we always waited with joy for the week when Lobanika performed to the delight of all and sundry
Visitors From the Distant Past
They landed in three large pods.
“They look exactly as we envisaged,” one of them said, probing me.
“Bring him inside the pod.” Said another.
They took me inside the pod.
I looked around.

I have divided the canvas into 256 rectangles.
Next stage? To insert the alphabets of Ifa in each of the rectangles.
