KỌ́LẸ́Ẹ̀JÌ ONÍGBÁMÉJÌ.
Professor Adeleke Adeeko has used my recent painting for the cover of his new book, titled KỌ́LẸ́Ẹ̀JÌ ONÍGBÁMÉJÌ.
It is a translation of Femi Osofisan’s book, titled CHOLERA COLLEGE.
Professor Adeeko teaches at Ohio State University, Columbus, OH.
Femi Osofisan is a renowned playwright, poet and essayist.
It was Professor Adeeko who commissioned me to do the painting for the cover of the work.
To those of you who are wondering why you have a KỌ́LẸ́Ẹ̀JÌ ONÍGBÁMÉJÌ (Cholera College), I can only say Bẹ́ẹ̀ làá bi ni–as Iya Oyo would say, meaning “Good question.”
You can easily find out.
Just buy the book, àbí bẹ́ ẹ̀ kó?
The book is as sweet as honey–ó ládùn, olóyinmọmọ ni.
Atá tó o, iyọ̀ dùn ún: it has spices, with a pinch of salt.
