Isn’t it so wonderful to be back home in Nigeria, to spend time on the very land in which you grew up, to measure what has remained the same, evaluate the changes, and survey the landscape with an eye irrevocably altered through gazing at other countries and interacting with foreign landscapes?

He is chilling here with some àsun that he brought with him from Nigeria, and one of the local beers in Austin.

This morning, a friend from Nigeria called me and asked the question: “What will happen to the politics of Nigeria, to President Buhari, and the 2023 elections in Nigeria?”
“I don’t know,” I responded.
“But Ifa knows, right?” she asked. “Isn’t Ifa supposed to know everything?”
“Okay,” I responded. “I will ask Ifa and let you know later.”
I brought out my laptop and used the Ifa computation system.
