MEANINGLESS WORD
“Food is not ready,” Iya Oyo informed me. “This is just a snack. I know you are hungry” In Yoruba she said “Fi eléyìí panu. Mo mọ̀ pé ebi ti ń pa ẹ́.”
She left me a bowl full of boiled groundnuts. I loved boiled groundnuts. It was still in the shell. “You can throw the shells here after cracking them.” In Yoruba , she said, “Pa èèpo ẹ̀pà ná à sínú abọ́ yìí.
We are getting close to the end of the architectural sculpture.
Ifa reads the ọpọ́n of 2019 elections in Nigeria and shakes his head at Ìwòrì Méjì, which says inter alia, that:
Pregnant women will no longer be delivered.
The barren ones will remain barren.
The sick will remain infirm.
Small rivers will dry up.
The construction process at the Àkòdì Òrìṣà proceeds with the building of Ìwòrì-Òdí, an architectural monumentality of the third and fourth programs of the Ifa computer.

After my great grandmama realized
that her songs failed
To return her child to her breasts
She stopped singing
and began to dialog with herself
even when nobody listened.
She asked strange questions
and responded with strange answers.
I woke up during the night and went to the bathroom.
There was no water to wash my hands.
No hot water. No cold water.
What was going on?
I went downstairs.
No running water.
